Cryodermatology

Cryosurgery is the application of extreme cold to destroy abnormal or diseased tissue.

In dermatology, the cryosurgery is quite diffused for several reasons: it does not need general anaesthetic, it is not painful, and it does not require difficult medications or long term recovery.

A common method of freezing lesions is using liquid nitrogen as the cooling solution. The super-cooled liquid may be sprayed on the diseased tissue. The rapidity and the efficiency is guaranteed by the cold temperature -196°C. One of the most common disease treated by cryosurgery is the wart , but this procedure can be applied to many others diseases.

BioRep offers two different products. Both are in pressurized container (in stainless steel) enables spraying of liquid nitrogen on the zone to be treated by means of a nozzle.
